I recently hired Bear Cleaning to carry out roof cleaning on some of our residential buildings, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, their team were professional, punctual, and thorough. They took the time to explain the process, ensuring my roofs were cleaned safely and effectively. Excellent work and great customer service!
Brilliant service! Would definitely recommend as they did a fabulous job of cleaning the roof and gutters.

Bear Cleaning were excellent to deal with. They turned up on time, did a great job of cleaning the moss off our roof, tidied up afterwards and did it all for a reasonable price! I can’t recommend them highly enough - very pleased
Had my roof steam cleaned and treated with biocide. Efficient responses to my queries ahead of the work. The 2 people who worked on the job were very helpful and efficient, they worked in appalling weather conditions and kept going until the job was complete. Excellent quality and customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Having recently engaged Bear Cleaning roof cleaning services to remove moss and lichen, then treat with biocide to mitigate moss regrowth, I highly recommend Bear Cleaning to all potential customers considering to use their roof cleaning services. And, by the way, the roof now appears in absolute pristine condition - fantastic job, well done Bear Cleaning!!!
Excellent roof cleaning service carried out in a very professional manner at reasonable price on the date promised.
Had my roof cleaned and treated. weather conditions were horrible but the 2 employees never let that stop them and just got on with the job. Very happy with the job done and would definitely recommend them.
It’s a good idea to remove moss from your roof for several reasons:
We’d advise you to speak with a professional cleaning contractor, like us. We’d visit your property and check the condition of your roof before we advise on the best method to have your roof cleaned.
If your roof is in a sorry state with problems like missing pointing, torn underlay/membrane, loose flashing etc, then pressure washing isn’t the answer – as it’s highly likely it would cause water to penetrate into your home.
If this is the case then we’d recommend manually removing the moss and applying a biocide treatment to kill any remaining moss, which will be a lot gentler on your roof, a lot less messy, and with no risk of water damage within your home.
The manufacturer of the biocide treatment we use gives a guide of 3-4 years before you should notice any signs of regrowth.
To prevent moss reappearing on your roof, we recommend a maintenance application of biocide treatment every 2-3 years which will keep your roof looking clean and moss free for many years to come.
Depending on weather conditions, your roof type and any surrounding foliage can drastically lower the time that algae and moss remains gone, so the timing of your maintenance applications might need to be adjusted.
This does depend on the condition and material of your roof tiles. If your tiles are relatively new then they will return to their original colour.
If your tiles are older, then there is a high likelihood that the colour coating will have deteriorated over time, and they will end up being a light concrete grey or yellow colour. Our expert team will be able to advise on the expected colour before the clean.
We get asked all the time “is safe to pressure wash my roof” or “will pressure washing my roof damage the tiles”.
We use a high heat and lower pressure washing technique to carry out the clean of your roof, and we keep all the outlets oscillating – so there is never any direct pressure.
We also carry out the cleaning from our scaffold tower, so we can ensure there are no broken tiles from the cleaning process.
We clean roofs in and around the following areas: Kenilworth, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon, Rugby, Southam, Lighthorne Heath, Hatton and Bishop’s Tachbrook, to name just a few locations – if you don’t see your location listed, but you’re in/around this area, just fill in our enquiry form and we’ll get in touch to confirm.
